All of the IVA CPT tests require a USB mouse for accurate timing of test responses. Two Microsoft USB mice are supplied in this Hardware Kit and include hand sizes appropriate for both children and adults. All IVA tests require that a USB mouse be used, because the use of any wireless mouse is extremely likely to result in timing errors. It is also necessary for both laptop and desktop computers that an external Speaker or Headphone be used. Both are included in this kit and with the supplied splitter cable enables their simultaneous use. This setup allows the examiner to hear exactly what is spoken during the test to the test taker. Laptop speakers can not be used with the IVA CPT tests, because their sound quality varies widely and they often have a delay before the auditory stimulus is spoken that impairs the test timing accuracy. All items included in this kit have been tested by BrainTrain and determined to meet our high quality standards required for testing accuracy.
